What in the student mind on homicide?

Q1: What is your definition of homicide?
A1- Shatikqua: When a human being dies not from natural causes but dies from another human being or animal.
Q2: Why do you think people commit homicides?
A2-Shatikqua: Because they are at the top and they're depressed and they probably talked about doing it they 're whole life and finally did it thats why you have to watch out for people like that.
Q3:What do you think be going through the killer head while they're doing it?
A3-Shatikqua: They are probably thinking why am I doing this or they just might not care they're probably thinking that they're doing the right thing it depends on why they got killed because sometimes it's an accident.
Q4:What do you think drives them in to that crazy stage of commmiting the murder?
A4- Shatikqua: People picking on them or trying to boss them around or alot of the times because they feel they're in control and when they're not that when they go to kill.
Q5:Why do you think people commit suicide?
A5- Shatikqua: They feel they're not loved and no one cares about them and they think theres no point of them living because they're no good to anyone life.
Q6: Do you think a killer can be changed?
A6- Shatikqua: Yes if they meet the almighty GOD!!!
Q7: What do you think should happen to the killer? Do they deserve capital punishment?
A7- Shatikqua: I think they should serve life behind bars. No because they're not getting punished they're just getting killed like they're victums and it's not exactly proving why they shouldn't kill because they're getting killed. They need to know what they did was wrong.
I agree with shatikqua with her definition of homicide. The answer she gave for Q2 was kind of what I would say but it's more to it. All murderer's don't think about killing they're whole life some do but not all. In my opinion I think it's because they want to feel like they're superior and that their in power and sometimes it's often an accident but some people try to cover it up because they feel as though know one would believ it's an accident. For question number four I also agree because if you read up on what psychologists says on it, it's alot similar to what Ms. Jones said when they feel they're not in power or they're being disrespectful they snap and don't think about it twice. For question number five I agree all the way suicide victums feel that they're not needed, loved or cared for/about. For question number six I disagree I think if a person kills someone purposely than they will kill again because if they feel thas what they have to do than they will do it over and over again. And I think they should think abouot what they did for the rest of they're life and rot in prison for it. Because capital punishment is letting them off easy.

Different Resources are the New
One type of renewable energy is Solar power. Solar power is energy derived from the sun. It is the most abundant source of energy on Earth. (Global Warming) Solar Power sounds cheap but its solar panel to collect the energy is very expenseive equipment and very hard to put together. The sun is very important to our planet because if their was no sun no oxygen no life on earth.The sun is always around to provide energy tothe earth and the sun wont run out for along time so our generation is okay.
Another type of renewable energy is Wind power. Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into more useful forms, usually electricity from using wind turbines. Wind energy is ample, renewable, widely distributed, clean, and mitigates the greenhouse effect if used to replace fossil-fuel-derived lightning. To make the power, the windmill captures the wind and spins a generator. The generator then produces electricity. (Global Warming) Wind energy is renewable cause wind does never die cause of the ocean trade winds. Wind is caught by big wind turbines that spins a generator that does transfer electricity to many cities.
Another type of renewable energy is Geothermal power. Geothermal uses the natural flow of heat from the earths core. About half of the available energy is from natural radiation in the earths crust and mantle. Geothermal and biomass are the only two renewable energies which need to be carefully managed in order to avoid local depletion. (Global Warming) Geothermal energy is great to use cause the heat would never be lost unless the earth blew up. Geothermal power is bad to use cause their might be a loss of the radiation energy that is coming off the magma. Geothermal power will not run out , there is a constant flow of magma under the earth's crust and in the earth's mantle.
Hydropower is the capture of the energy of moving water for some useful purpose. Prior to the widespread availability of commercial electric power, hydropower was used for irrigation, millingof grain,textile manufacture, and the operation of sawmills.(Global Warming)Hydro power is a great alternative source to use instead of our fossil fuels. Hydro power is made from running water, like Niagra Falls. There is water turbines under the water to run generators to push electricity into wires that travel to half the people in Western New York. Hydro power was used to make many things work.

What Psychologists Says On Homicide!!!

As I went on my research game I wanted to get someone else opinion on reasonings for homicides. I found Professor David Buss opinion on murder and the research and facts he found. Buss argues that murder has evolved because killing certain people is beneficial to reproductive competition, which he says is a subconscious drive behind nearly all murders. Ok to many big words basically what he is saying is some people do it for the competition they don't care about the one in danger life.
Buss said the recent robbery and murder in West Campus could be a prime example of an assailant attempting to acquire material wealth, if that was his motive. According to evolutionary theory, material wealth or resources are extremely valued by the sex that invests greater time and energy into offspring - in the case of humans, that's women. And the research to that shooting that I found was video games. While these kids go through these shooting their minds are set to having them think there in a video game when they're really doing there killing.
Buss said, that the drive to murder in general is deeply and subconsciously rooted in reproductive competition. Having more resources enables an individual to appear more competitive as compared to another in the eyes of a prospective mate. "Murder has a lot to do with mating," Buss said. Yes and I agree. Like Buss said "murder has a lot to do with mating. As we all know with mating theres sometimes one more in control than the other. When someone kills at times it might be for protection but with others it's to show whose in control and whose the weak one.
"The old thinking"
David also says that other criminal psychology theories "don't do a very good job of explaining the killing." Which I also agree. The words they be using be words they went to college to learn not the readers. So that means you have to sometimes break it down into more simplar word because not everyone uses those complex words. And it also seems as though other pyschologists beats around the bush sometimes to make it sound interesting when indeed it does not at all.
Before the early 1980s, murders were often classified by psychologists as "corruptions of the mind through media," Buss said. Studies of these theories have shown that murder rates do not correlate with the presence of media in cultures. Speaking of media back in the 1980's according to my research was over exagerating what really happened. But it was a big deal back then also because not alot of murders went on back then at least not as many as today.

Will it pay off after going through alot in college

So the next thing i want to know in my research is how much money you make a year. I know this sound like I'm in it just for the money but I'm not I'm actually interested in becoming a registered nurse. I have a lot in mind that i want in my life as i get older so i have to know how much money I'm looking at. I'm not going to change my career because of what they make a year but I'm defiantly going to find out the amount. I was told that they make somewhere between 23-35 dollars a hour in buffalo which i don't think is bad. I was also told if i plan on leaving after i get my degree that might be the best choice because you make more money and I'm looking forward to living a good life so I'm going to have to look into that to make sure its the right information. I also know that if you attend college for 4years you can make more than a person who went to college for a 2year degree. I'm going to say that sounds about right because you should make more seeing that you did attend college longer. I did research and it depends on where and what type of nursing. A staff nurse starts off in the hospital making about $18,000 a year. As a traveler, you will make about $30,000 a year. But it is said that some people clear over $100,000 a year, but on average about 35,000-40,000("Salary and pay rates"). So now i know how much they make and I'm willing to continue on with my search I don't have a problem with the amount they make. I also think I'm going to travel since they make more money and i wanted to travel once i got my life together anyway so this is working out for me.

In Conclusion...
In conclusion I have come to realize that everyone is different. Everyone has there own limits of adventure. I always thought of my little brother, Cameron, as being "boring", but really his sense of adventure is just not as extreme as Terrelle and myself.
Different people have fun in different ways, some more extreme than others.
Terrelle and I are more extreme than Cameron, but we can all get together and still have fun. It's not how adventurous you are, but it's your own personal likes and dislikes.
Personally, I do agree with what Terrelle said, "I think it's [adventure] a faddish to see how far you can push yourself."
And Cameron's definition of adventure is, "Pushing the limits."
In my research and personal interviews I have learned a lot about how to find information and how to get that information out.

Q1- What do you think should happen to homicide killers and do you think they deserve capital punishment?
A1-Elyse: I believe in sentencing to life in prison. I rather have you sit there in think about what you did. Rather than than the death sentence, because if your in a gang death isn't a concern or fear to you.
Q2-Why do you think people commit homicide?
A2-Elyse: I think that criminals do the the things they do because the way their brought up and how they were treated when they were young.

A3-Elyse: Because the way people treated them and their depressed and feel unworthy.

My opinion on my first question is no I don't believe in capital punishment because they're just getting out the easy way theredore they shoukd suffer every night they go to sleep they should think about every murder they ever commited every excrusiating detail of it and think about what pain they caused the family of those murder victums family. For my next question I don't completely understand why these people do such a terrible thing but I kind of have an clue. They grow up in such a terrible home where no one cares or show love for these poeople so when they murder people they treat them the same way they were treated and they do it with out thinking twice unless they feel they did something wrong. And for suicide victums I feel so bad for them because they feel no one understands them or care about them and they're depressed all the time. There are people out there that care about them they just don't show them enough and if they can't find help from that person they can definetly find it some where else but death is not the answer. No and yes. No because I think once a killer always a killer but elyse has kind of given me a yes mind on that with the brief story she told.

Our Society is Troubled

All scientists are most focused on the period up to 2100, the increase of warming on the earths surface and ocean level rises are expected to continue for more than a thousand years even if greenhouse gas levels are stabilized. The delay in reaching equilibrium is a result of the large heat capacity of the oceans. The increasing of our global temperature will cause the sea level to rise, and is expected to increase the intensity of Extreme weather events and to change the amount and pattern of precipitation Other effects of global warming include changes in Agricultural yeilds, trade routes,Glaciers retreats, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of Disease vectors. Finding the right college to attend

The next thing i want to research is a college to attend. I kinda know what college i want to go to because everybody keep saying that's the best nursing school in buffalo. The idea of it being in buffalo makes me really want to attend because I'm not trying to leave buffalo. The college is Trocaire. Its a private college which means that's more money but i don't know exactly whats its going to cost to attend so i have to do some research on that just in case i have to attend somewhere else to get a degree in nursing. Its a two year college which is good for me because i can't be in school that long not saying that in a bad way. I just like to sleep alot. But anyways back to the college information. One thing about Trocaire college is if I feel I want to keep going after two years and get a higher degree i can because trocaire have transfer agreements. I went and searched some information on the college and i wanted to see what people where saying is true. According to the site i went on you should choose trocaire for nursing because there is flexible scheduling, individual attention, dedicated faculty, hands-on experience, state-of-the-art labs, and small clinical groups. Just from this information i want to attend so far but i cant say I'm going there yet because i have to find out the cost and requirements to attend the school. I found out the requirements to attend.
I need a high school average of 85% or better and I don't meet that standards so hopefully i meet another requirement that will help me become a registered nurse. I needed to take Math 1, Biology, and Chemistry while in high school. I did not take Chemistry so right now its not looking to good for me. All candidates for the Nursing program must take the Accuplacer test and the TEAS test.
-Anatomy & Physiology I with Lab is a pre-professional requirement that must be successfully completed prior to the first semester's nursing course work.
Minimum Degree Requirements:
-A total of at least 67 semester hours with a Quality Point Average of 2.0
*A minimum grade of "C" (2.0) is required in all courses. A “C-” is not acceptable. (Nursing-Day )
All of this I have to accomplish. It seems like alot but I'm willing to meet those requirements to become a nurse. I also have to be ready to spend long hours studying and memorizing scientific information. Ready to learn about ethical issues related to terminal illness and death. I will be gaining my credit for college by working in hospitals and health institutions. I think im ready for this part and thats college. Now im ready to find out whats next.

The next thing i want to research is a college to attend. I kinda know what college i want to go to because everybody keep saying that's the best nursing school in buffalo. The idea of it being in buffalo makes me really want to attend because I'm not trying to leave buffalo. The college is Trocaire. Its a private college which means that's more money but i don't know exactly whats its going to cost to attend so i have to do some research on that just in case i have to attend somewhere else to get a degree in nursing. Its a two year college which is good for me because i can't be in school that long not saying that in a bad way. I just like to sleep alot. But anyways back to the college information. One thing about Trocaire college is if I feel I want to keep going after two years and get a higher degree i can because trocaire have transfer agreements. I went and searched some information on the college and i wanted to see what people where saying is true. According to the site i went on you should choose trocaire for nursing because there is flexible scheduling, individual attention, dedicated faculty, hands-on experience, state-of-the-art labs, and small clinical groups. Just from this information i want to attend so far but i cant say I'm going there yet because i have to find out the cost and requirements to attend the school. I found out the requirements to attend.
I need a high school average of 85% or better and I don't meet that standards so hopefully i meet another requirement that will help me become a registered nurse. I needed to take Math 1, Biology, and Chemistry while in high school. I did not take Chemistry so right now its not looking to good for me. All candidates for the Nursing program must take the Accuplacer test and the TEAS test.
-Anatomy & Physiology I with Lab is a pre-professional requirement that must be successfully completed prior to the first semester's nursing course work.
Minimum Degree Requirements:
-A total of at least 67 semester hours with a Quality Point Average of 2.0
*A minimum grade of "C" (2.0) is required in all courses. A “C-” is not acceptable. (Nursing-Day )
All of this I have to accomplish. It seems like alot but I'm willing to meet those requirements to become a nurse. I also have to be ready to spend long hours studying and memorizing scientific information. Ready to learn about ethical issues related to terminal illness and death. I will be gaining my credit for college by working in hospitals and health institutions. I think im ready for this part and thats college. Now im ready to find out whats next.

There are many cars in this country and other countries. Thats alot of carbon dioxide emissions being thrown off of cars in the world. We should find another source energy to run cars and other gasoline motors.
Methane is another cause of global warming. According to the IPCC, Methane is more than 20 times as effective as CO2 at trapping heat in the atmosphere. After carbon emissions caused by humans.("Causes of Global Warming" ). Methane gases comes from sewers, manure plants, and garbage.
Deforestation is the second principle cause of atmospheric carbn dioxide. Deforestation is responsible forby the burning and cutting of about 34 million acres of trees each year. Trees breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen but we keep cutting down trees so more carbon dioxide is in the air than oxygen. Its easier to cut down the tree then it is to grow a tree cause it takes many decades fo them to grow. We are losing millions of acres of rainforests each year ("Causes of Global Warming" ). The use of aerosal can sprays is also a cause of trapping heat into the earths atmosphere. Trees are being cut down and without a trace of a new seed to grow them in the matter of minutes. Carbon dioxide gases are multiplying and we as citizens try to do something of this deforeststion and its not working Global Warming is coming faster then we can blink.
