Difficult Feelings In Action

When my search began it was kind of funny. The day i began my researching I was dealing with difficult feelings towards my teacher and they caused me a trip to the principals office. I had just returned back to the class after being kicked out 2 days prior to that. I was still upset and angry and I had to return back to the class without my previous bad feelings not being dealt with and that will cause alot of tension. So I entered the classroom and the teacher says "Hi" like there was no type of problem. I just gave the look like "why the hell are you speaking to me"and kept walking. So I sat down thinking to myself I'd fix him "I'm not going to do any work today". Then he came in and sat in front of me doing it just to agitate me because he knows I'm already frustrated with him. So I sigh and say "GOD" and storm away.I had been absent from school the previous day and when your absent you get an admit slip to admit you back to class.I think its kind of awkward because he never not once in my 4years of being in his class asked me for that slip so why now? I get it he's really tryna get me to crack he's pushing me to my limit. So he follows me and keep asking "wheres your admit" "wheres your admit" I calmly said I don't have one,he says "get one or thats a write up" and I reply "you can write what you want to write" and that comment got me kicked out.

I realized that one way or another your going to have to learn to control your feelings or they really going to take over you. so here's a quote "Control your feelings don't let your Feelings control you"

Listen To This..."Does Age Quash Our Spirit of Adventure?"

I LISTENED TO THE RADIO STATION CALLED NPR, ON MY TOPIC ON LINE...
"Does Age Quash Our Spirit of Adventure?"

"Is there a certain age when the typical American passes from the novelty stage to utter predictability?"(Krulwich )

Studies show that when you are fourteen to twenty one years old is when your wide open to new things. By age thirty five most people don't care about new things, such as different foods for example. Like if you haven't tried sushi by the age of thirty five, then you most likely wouldn't cart to try it at all. The window for new things is open from ages fourteen to twenty one, and closed by the age of thirty five. If your over thirty nine and never tried a new food, then your adventure for food is over.
Studies show that people who get piercing are usually between ages sixteen to twenty three. But after twenty three
you most likely will not try it. (Krulwich )

Some people do retain there sense of adventure. Why does the adventurous ways of life disappear? People who don't, 1)spend a long time at the same job, or 2)they succeed, there good at it.
Then you become animate. (Note: don't become animate.)
Loosing a sense of adventure is not only just for humans but for animals too. Some animals, like gorillas, will not try new foods. The younger gorillas will be the first one to usually try new things such as foods. They almost sound like us. Is there a difference between youth & novelty? Sometimes your adventurous ways have to do with how or where you were raised, your lifestyle background.
"An open mind is a prickliest to a open heart." (Krulwich )

*I would highly recommend you to listen to it to. Just use the link in my citation.

My Research on What are people Motives For Killing

So far my research has been going just as Ive planned. I wanted to know what are people motives for killing? and what drives them to that point. I wanted to get inside of the killers head/mind and try and understand what be going through there minds. Now I might not find out everything I want to know but I'm going to find out most of it.

Now as I went exploring into the inter net world I found out that in 1990 the reasons for murder in the U.S. was 7.1% narcotics, 6.0% other felonies, 10.1 robbery, 16.5 unknown, 22.5% other motives, and 3.7 arguments. Now I figured the 22.5% that was other and the 16.5% unknown came from being abused as a child with alcoholics as parent/s or getting sexually abused as a child. Any type of abuse while growing up not understanding what it was you did wrong to deserve it or thinking it's your fault you grow up real messed up in the head.

Have you ever fantasized about killing someone? If your answer is yes your not alone. A ground breaking study by leading physiological research Buss reveals that 91% of men and 81% women have had at least one vivid fantasy often intense and astonishingly detailed of committing murder though we may like to think that murderers are committed by people normal. The murder next door is, as Buss highlights, the vast majority of murders are committed by people who, until the day they kill, seem perfectly normal. The murderer next door is a riveting lark into the dark underworld of the human mind and why, Buss reveals, thew pressure of evolutionary competition have adapted our mind for murder. Buss takes us on a fascinated journey into the killing mind with gripping stories about specific murder cases, murderer own account of why they killed, and many astonishing quotes from the most massive study of homicidal fantasies ever conducted, with peoples amazingly detailed accounts of the murders they considered committing where as previous theories of murder propose that homicide is something outside of human nature pathology imposed from without by the distorting influences of culture, media images poverty, or child abuse Buss argues that killing is fundamentally in our nature. Our minds have developed to kill.

What Part Of The Brain Is Responsible For What? {Post #2.}

In order to get a better understand of what I'm looking for in my research, I wanted to know what part of the brain is responsible for what? Because in order to find out how your thought process works, you need to know how the brain works first.
There are eight different parts of the human brain.
1.) The Frontal Lobe- One of the four major divisions of the cerebral cortex. This part of the brain regulates decision making, problem solving, control of purposeful behaviors, consciousness, & emotions.

2.)
The Primary Motor Cortex- This is patr of the frontal lobe & is responsible for regulating voluntary movements.

3.)
The Primary Sensory Cortex- This is part of the pariental lobe & processes sensory information recieved from the body.

4.)
The Parietal Lobe- One of four major divisions of the cerebral cortex. This lobe recieves & processes sensory information from the body. This is also where letters from words & words combine into thoughts.

5.)
The Temporal Lobe- One of four major divisions of the cerebral cortex. This part of the brainregulates memory, emotions, hearing, language, & learning.

6.) The Occipital Lobe- One of four major divisions of the cerebral cortex. This lobe prosesses information related to vision.

7.)
The Cerebellum- This regulates the initation & timing of movement & is important for maintaining balance & posture. This also helps modulate the force, steadiness, & range of movement.

8.)
The Brain Stem- This connects the brain & the spinal cord. it controls many basic functions including heart rate, breathing, eating, & sleeping.

The brain is reaponsible for all of your body actions, but I think the five main parts of the brain that I would have to study would be:
1.) The Frontal Lobe is responsible for your decision making.
2.) The Primary Motor Cortex is responsible for your regulating voluntary movements.
3.) The Temporal Lobe is responsible for your hearing & learning.
4.) The Occipital Lobe is responsible for your vision.
5.) The Cerebellum is responsible for maintaining balance & posture. It also helpes with you steadiness & range of movement.

Why i became interested in becoming a Registered Nurse

Our English class is doing research on questions that we are interested in knowing. I am interested in knowing if a Registered Nurse something i want to become.Reese, you can get rid of this first part. This next sentence is a stronger opening. I started thinking about becoming a registered nurse when i was 10years old. I was on a drill team and we use to go to this nursing home and talk to the workers and we did activites with the residents. While taking these trips to the nursing home every other weekend i was beginning to think my mind was made up of what i want to be. I was talking to this one registered nurse every time i went and she was giving me some information and showing me some of the tools they use and explaining what they are used for. The why she was explaining made the job seem easy and fun. But i was only ten years old at the time so what she was saying to me was kinda letting me know this is what i want to do but then again i wasnt so sure i still had some doubts. I knew i had years to think about it so i didnt let that get to me so much.

There are somethings i know about this and alot of things i need to know before i know if this is what i want to become. I know that you give the residents there shots if you become a registered nurse and you work in a nursing home. If you work at like a doctors office you take the patient blood pressure get there height and weight. I dont really know to much about being a registered nurse thats why this question is important to me. I know im able to pick the hours i am able to work. The registered nurse at my doctors office told me that if i plan on going to college for four years i should move away because when you attend college for four years you are suppose to make more money than you would if you attend for two years but she said they pay you the same amount if you go for two or four years.

I have alot of people that deal with residents or patients in my family and that also help me make up my mind about what i want to become. Worknig at Garden Gate Health Care Facility also make me think is this were i want to be working for the rest of my working days. This how i became confused about working in a nursing home or in a doctors office. So 'Is A Registered Nurse something i want to become' is the question i want to know because i have only a few months before i attend college.

Why do people kill?

I first understood what murder was when I watched Law in Order Special Victims Unit or Criminal Intent. The Special Victims Unit is sexually heinous crimes that take place in the city of New York and Criminal Intent is just straight out bloody murders that crimes have to get solved and criminals have to get caught. When I was a young girl I wanted to be a cop and put criminals away and help people but now after watching this show I know I'm to emotional and can't handle it. So I'm going to be a nurse and help the victims and leave the criminals to the professionals. I tried to put myself in the murderer's place and imagine myself doing the mutilation to see whats so exciting about murder. But I can't do it, it's to much for my imagination to handle.

Since I couldn't get this crucifying image in my head and looked up research and theres many different reasons why. And with some cases there just unexplainable. Some cases the murderer was abused as a child by an attic parent/s. And at other times they was just neglected as children and unwanted so there parents abused them and take out there anger from the day out on there kids. Sometimes they were sexually abused and they grow up taking it out on the world. But some people are just sick and was born a natural killer. Speaking of born a natural killer there was a movie called "Born a Natural Killer" and it was a crazy movie but to make a long story short it was a girl who lived in a normal household as it seemed she lived with both parents and had a baby brother and her father abused and raped her almost everyday till one day she wanted to go to a concert he told her no and told her to go upstairs and wait for him. Well while he was eating dinner she snuck off with the meat delivery man and they fell in love but they were really crazy and he got abused by his alcoholic father and every time they get visions of what they're parents did to them they go off and kill someone. Crazy right? well if you think I'm making this up do some research and see how crazy I am.

Seeing this movie and doing all the research i did made me wonder about all the abused children around the world and had me thinking how they have no one but those abusive parents. And how they might be our future killers. But if we find someway to help them maybe we can stop this. Yes, we can that's why there are commercials and secret hot lines to help these children and I hope it helps because I would hate to be in their shoes!

A Sense Of Adventure: Before The Search {Post 1:Intro}

I always was the "dare devil" type of girl in the family and out of all of my friends, but my favorite interest was always in motorcycles. I've loved motorcycles ever since my Uncle use to give me rides when I was younger. He showed me the correct way to get on a bike without me getting burned by the exhaust pipe on the side. I would just hold on tight and watch everything pass by so quickly. I always had a passion for speed, and riding motorcycles was right up my alley! But besides loving the speed of a bike, I also had a thing for turning. When you turn on a motorcycle you have to lean to the side. I think I love speed and leaning because it reminds me of racing. From when I was younger to now I love watching street races. Different local bike clubs would race about four streets over from my house. No matter what time it is I would always find myself sprinting to Exchange Street just to watch. So, motorcycles are defiantly my sense of adventure and excitement. And I just wanted to know how can an individuals' mind be - so to say, "programed", to having a passion for adventure and being the "dare devil" out of the group?

Then when I was about ten or eleven years old, some new neighbors moved in four houses down the street from me. These new neighbors had a son the same age as us (my brother, friends, and I). We all became close friends (and are still close to this day). Well it just so happens that the "new boy" had a mo peg (like a small version of a motorcycle), and use to ride it all the time. He loved motorcycles just as much as I do, and I think that is what made us even closer friends. His Dad rode, fixed, and painted motorcycles as a hobby. With me always being around him and his Dad I was automatically "hooked"!

So, from ten or eleven years old to now at eighteen years old, I've been working on motorcycles with my friends Dad every summer. I would go to work all day in the summer, then come home and change my clothes to work on motorcycles with my friends Dad. I love being different, and this is one of my many qualities of mine that is very different. Yes, I was the little girl that use to put a pop can or huggy juice box in my bike tire just so it can sound like a motorcycle. Because if you think about it, how many girls have you met with my passionate interests in motorcycles?

Riding, fixing, and painting motorcycles is my sense of adventure, my rush in life so to speak. And in my research project I want to know how the brain works when it comes to having fun, living life, and daring to be adventurous.

I have a deep passion for motorcycles, and that is a very adventurous activity for myself and many others. So, my essential question is,
how does the brains thought process for an adventurous mind work?

Somethings Tearing Me Apart! What Is It?

I became interested in this topic because I find it hard for myself to overcome difficult feelings. I sometimes let the feelings build up and it causes alot of angry, frustration, disappointment, and hard feelings towards others.

Before I start my research I can tell you only thing I know about dealing with difficult feelings is to walk away. And I can tell you right now that that dont work because I find later on the hard feelings come back and I find myself where I begin. Dealing with mixed emotions and it seems like I can never get over the bridge that I built. So Enhancing a search on dealing with difficult feelings will help me build a bridge and get over it. It will help me into guiding me into steps step by step with learning techniques when dealing with difficult feelings.

My essential questions is How can people learn how to handle difficult feelings.
