The new Ice age is the new world

I found a lot of information about the causes from global warming from a website called Ecobridge. The article mostly talked about fuel consumption and its effect on Earth's atmostphere. For example, "in 2002 about 40% of U.S. carbon dioxide emissions stem from the burning of fossil fuels for the purpose of electricity generation of power plants" ("Causes of Global Warming" ). I think this is interesting because there are many power plants such as Republic Steel, Dupont, Dunlop tires that uses many amounts of coal right here in Buffalo, NY.

Another source of pollution is coal, which "accounts for 93 percent of the emissions from the electric utility industry. Natural gas gives off 50% of the carbon dioxide into the air a metric ton of carbon equals about 10,000 miles of driving at 25 miles per gallon of gasoline or about one year of home heating using a natural gas-fired furnace or about four months of electricity from coal fired generation("Causes of Global Warming" ). This coal that is being burned to make steel and other materials around the world is ruining the ozone layer.Are country as an american should find different things to burn so steel and those other materials could be made.

Carbon dioxide is another source of pollution. About 33% of U.S carbon dioxide emissions comes from the burning of gasoline in internal combustion engines of cars and light trucks". Vehicles with poor gas mileage contribute the most to global warming. All the old cars threw off the most carbon dioxide between cars now. Buildings structure account for about 12% of carbon dioxide emissions. While carbon dioxide is the principal greenhouse gas, methane is second most important ("Causes of Global Warming" ). There are many cars in this country and other countries. Thats alot of carbon dioxide emissions being thrown off of cars in the world. We should find another source energy to run cars and other gasoline motors.

Methane is another cause of global warming. According to the IPCC, Methane is more than 20 times as effective as CO2 at trapping heat in the atmosphere. After carbon emissions caused by humans.("Causes of Global Warming" ). Methane gases comes from sewers, manure plants, and garbage.

Deforestation is the second principle cause of atmospheric carbn dioxide. Deforestation is responsible forby the burning and cutting of about 34 million acres of trees each year. Trees breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen but we keep cutting down trees so more carbon dioxide is in the air than oxygen. Its easier to cut down the tree then it is to grow a tree cause it takes many decades fo them to grow. We are losing millions of acres of rainforests each year ("Causes of Global Warming" ). The use of aerosal can sprays is also a cause of trapping heat into the earths atmosphere. Trees are being cut down and without a trace of a new seed to grow them in the matter of minutes. Carbon dioxide gases are multiplying and we as citizens try to do something of this deforeststion and its not working Global Warming is coming faster then we can blink.
