interview with Shatikqua Jones
Q1: What is your definition of homicide?
A1- Shatikqua: When a human being dies not from natural causes but dies from another human being or animal.
Q2: Why do you think people commit homicides?
A2-Shatikqua: Because they are at the top and they're depressed and they probably talked about doing it they 're whole life and finally did it thats why you have to watch out for people like that.
Q3:What do you think be going through the killer head while they're doing it?
A3-Shatikqua: They are probably thinking why am I doing this or they just might not care they're probably thinking that they're doing the right thing it depends on why they got killed because sometimes it's an accident.
Q4:What do you think drives them in to that crazy stage of commmiting the murder?
A4- Shatikqua: People picking on them or trying to boss them around or alot of the times because they feel they're in control and when they're not that when they go to kill.
Q5:Why do you think people commit suicide?
A5- Shatikqua: They feel they're not loved and no one cares about them and they think theres no point of them living because they're no good to anyone life.
Q6: Do you think a killer can be changed?
A6- Shatikqua: Yes if they meet the almighty GOD!!!
Q7: What do you think should happen to the killer? Do they deserve capital punishment?
A7- Shatikqua: I think they should serve life behind bars. No because they're not getting punished they're just getting killed like they're victums and it's not exactly proving why they shouldn't kill because they're getting killed. They need to know what they did was wrong.
I agree with shatikqua with her definition of homicide. The answer she gave for Q2 was kind of what I would say but it's more to it. All murderer's don't think about killing they're whole life some do but not all. In my opinion I think it's because they want to feel like they're superior and that their in power and sometimes it's often an accident but some people try to cover it up because they feel as though know one would believ it's an accident. For question number four I also agree because if you read up on what psychologists says on it, it's alot similar to what Ms. Jones said when they feel they're not in power or they're being disrespectful they snap and don't think about it twice. For question number five I agree all the way suicide victums feel that they're not needed, loved or cared for/about. For question number six I disagree I think if a person kills someone purposely than they will kill again because if they feel thas what they have to do than they will do it over and over again. And I think they should think abouot what they did for the rest of they're life and rot in prison for it. Because capital punishment is letting them off easy.

Different Resources are the New
One type of renewable energy is Solar power. Solar power is energy derived from the sun. It is the most abundant source of energy on Earth. (Global Warming) Solar Power sounds cheap but its solar panel to collect the energy is very expenseive equipment and very hard to put together. The sun is very important to our planet because if their was no sun no oxygen no life on earth. The sun is always around to provide energy tothe earth and the sun wont run out for along time so our generation is okay.
Another type of renewable energy is Wind power. Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into more useful forms, usually electricity from using wind turbines. Wind energy is ample, renewable, widely distributed, clean, and mitigates the greenhouse effect if used to replace fossil-fuel-derived lightning. To make the power, the windmill captures the wind and spins a generator. The generator then produces electricity. (Global Warming) Wind energy is renewable cause wind does never die cause of the ocean trade winds. Wind is caught by big wind turbines that spins a generator that does transfer electricity to many cities.
Another type of renewable energy is Geothermal power. Geothermal uses the natural flow of heat from the earths core. About half of the available energy is from natural radiation in the earths crust and mantle. Geothermal and biomass are the only two renewable energies which need to be carefully managed in order to avoid local depletion. (Global Warming) Geothermal energy is great to use cause the heat would never be lost unless the earth blew up. Geothermal power is bad to use cause their might be a loss of the radiation energy that is coming off the magma. Geothermal power will not run out , there is a constant flow of magma under the earth's crust and in the earth's mantle.
Hydropower is the capture of the energy of moving water for some useful purpose. Prior to the widespread availability of commercial electric power, hydropower was used for irrigation, millingof grain, textile manufacture, and the operation of sawmills.(Global Warming)Hydro power is a great alternative source to use instead of our fossil fuels. Hydro power is made from running water, like Niagra Falls. There is water turbines under the water to run generators to push electricity into wires that travel to half the people in Western New York. Hydro power was used to make many things work.

What Psychologists Says On Homicide!!!

As I went on my research game I wanted to get someone else opinion on reasonings for homicides. I found Professor David Buss opinion on murder and the research and facts he found. Buss argues that murder has evolved because killing certain people is beneficial to reproductive competition, which he says is a subconscious drive behind nearly all murders. Ok to many big words basically what he is saying is some people do it for the competition they don't care about the one in danger life.
Buss said the recent robbery and murder in West Campus could be a prime example of an assailant attempting to acquire material wealth, if that was his motive. According to evolutionary theory, material wealth or resources are extremely valued by the sex that invests greater time and energy into offspring - in the case of humans, that's women. And the research to that shooting that I found was video games. While these kids go through these shooting their minds are set to having them think there in a video game when they're really doing there killing.
Buss said, that the drive to murder in general is deeply and subconsciously rooted in reproductive competition. Having more resources enables an individual to appear more competitive as compared to another in the eyes of a prospective mate. "Murder has a lot to do with mating," Buss said. Yes and I agree. Like Buss said "murder has a lot to do with mating. As we all know with mating theres sometimes one more in control than the other. When someone kills at times it might be for protection but with others it's to show whose in control and whose the weak one.
"The old thinking"
David also says that other criminal psychology theories "don't do a very good job of explaining the killing." Which I also agree. The words they be using be words they went to college to learn not the readers. So that means you have to sometimes break it down into more simplar word because not everyone uses those complex words. And it also seems as though other pyschologists beats around the bush sometimes to make it sound interesting when indeed it does not at all.
Before the early 1980s, murders were often classified by psychologists as "corruptions of the mind through media," Buss said. Studies of these theories have shown that murder rates do not correlate with the presence of media in cultures. Speaking of media back in the 1980's according to my research was over exagerating what really happened. But it was a big deal back then also because not alot of murders went on back then at least not as many as today.

Will it pay off after going through alot in college
Blog#4
So the next thing i want to know in my research is how much money you make a year. I know this sound like I'm in it just for the money but I'm not I'm actually interested in becoming a registered nurse. I have a lot in mind that i want in my life as i get older so i have to know how much money I'm looking at. I'm not going to change my career because of what they make a year but I'm defiantly going to find out the amount. I was told that they make somewhere between 23-35 dollars a hour in buffalo which i don't think is bad. I was also told if i plan on leaving after i get my degree that might be the best choice because you make more money and I'm looking forward to living a good life so I'm going to have to look into that to make sure its the right information. I also know that if you attend college for 4years you can make more than a person who went to college for a 2year degree. I'm going to say that sounds about right because you should make more seeing that you did attend college longer. I did research and it depends on where and what type of nursing. A staff nurse starts off in the hospital making about $18,000 a year. As a traveler, you will make about $30,000 a year. But it is said that some people clear over $100,000 a year, but on average about 35,000-40,000("Salary and pay rates"). So now i know how much they make and I'm willing to continue on with my search I don't have a problem with the amount they make. I also think I'm going to travel since they make more money and i wanted to travel once i got my life together anyway so this is working out for me.

In Conclusion...
In conclusion I have come to realize that everyone is different. Everyone has there own limits of adventure. I always thought of my little brother, Cameron, as being "boring", but really his sense of adventure is just not as extreme as Terrelle and myself.
Different people have fun in different ways, some more extreme than others.
Terrelle and I are more extreme than Cameron, but we can all get together and still have fun. It's not how adventurous you are, but it's your own personal likes and dislikes.
Personally, I do agree with what Terrelle said, "I think it's [adventure] a faddish to see how far you can push yourself."
And Cameron's definition of adventure is, "Pushing the limits."
In my research and personal interviews I have learned a lot about how to find information and how to get that information out.

Next I decided to interview my little brother, Cameron, who is 16 years old, but the exact opposite of Terrelle and myself.
Q: Why don't you like motorcycles?
A: "Because I like cars better."
Q: What do you fear the most?
A: "Drowning."
Q: What is your definition of adventure?
A: "Pushing the limits."
Q: What was the most "dare devil" thing you did that was adventurous (to you)?
A: "Riding a jet ski."
Q: What else do you do that can be considered adventurous (to you)?
A: "Skiing."
Q: Where you ever scared of skiing? Did you ever have a moment of being scared when skiing?
A: "No."
Q: Do you think of your self as being adventurous?
A: "Yes."

Do you believe in capital punishment?
Blog #4
5/21/08
Interview with Elyse Woods.
Q1- What do you think should happen to homicide killers and do you think they deserve capital punishment?
A1-Elyse: I believe in sentencing to life in prison. I rather have you sit there in think about what you did. Rather than than the death sentence, because if your in a gang death isn't a concern or fear to you.
Q2-Why do you think people commit homicide?
A2-Elyse: I think that criminals do the the things they do because the way their brought up and how they were treated when they were young.
Q3-Why do you think people commit suicide?
A3-Elyse: Because the way people treated them and their depressed and feel unworthy.
Q4-Do you know how long people get for commiting homicide>?
A4-Elyse: Yes, 25 to life.
Q5-What do you think be going through the killers mind while he's killing?
A5-Elyse: I think they're mind just be going blank. They get to that crazy stage and go insane. I think it's a satifaction for them something that nums their pain inside?
Q6- Do you think a killer can be changed?
A6-Elyse:Yes, because the dude that started the crips changed his life around and published children books and tried to talk to yuong gang members but he still sentenced death.
My opinion on my first question is no I don't believe in capital punishment because they're just getting out the easy way theredore they shoukd suffer every night they go to sleep they should think about every murder they ever commited every excrusiating detail of it and think about what pain they caused the family of those murder victums family. For my next question I don't completely understand why these people do such a terrible thing but I kind of have an clue. They grow up in such a terrible home where no one cares or show love for these poeople so when they murder people they treat them the same way they were treated and they do it with out thinking twice unless they feel they did something wrong. And for suicide victums I feel so bad for them because they feel no one understands them or care about them and they're depressed all the time. There are people out there that care about them they just don't show them enough and if they can't find help from that person they can definetly find it some where else but death is not the answer. No and yes. No because I think once a killer always a killer but elyse has kind of given me a yes mind on that with the brief story she told.

Our Society is Troubled
Global Warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century, and its projected continuation. The average global air temperature near the Earth's surface increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C(1.33 ± 0.32 °F) during the hundred years ending in 2005. (" Global Warming") Global warming is the increase in temperature near the earths surface. Global warming also increases the oceans temperature. This rise in temperature has been increasing for a hundred years ending in the year 2005 and is continuing. The global air has increased about 1.33ºF to its little stretch in temperature of .32ºF.
" Global Warming." Wikipedia. Wikimedia Foundation, Inc.,. 21 May 2008.
All scientists are most focused on the period up to 2100, the increase of warming on the earths surface and ocean level rises are expected to continue for more than a thousand years even if greenhouse gas levels are stabilized. The delay in reaching equilibrium is a result of the large heat capacity of the oceans. The increasing of our global temperature will cause the sea level to rise, and is expected to increase the intensity of Extreme weather events and to change the amount and pattern of precipitation Other effects of global warming include changes in Agricultural yeilds, trade routes,Glaciers retreats, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of Disease vectors. (" Global Warming") We all should be that prepared for that.Oceans been getting warmer over the years and now the ice caps are melting which would cause us to go into a new ice age. There are going to be extreme weather changes such as bigger Tornadoes in regions there not suppose to be near. Bigger Hurricanes every where probably . There would be alot of precipitation such snow, rain, hail, and hail. There would be stronger lightning storms too. Food would become scarce . Glaciers would be melted. Like the Antartic freeze line would be very smaller.More Species would be Extinct and many Diseases would be past out to many people.

Finding the right college to attend
Blog:#3
The next thing i want to research is a college to attend. I kinda know what college i want to go to because everybody keep saying that's the best nursing school in buffalo. The idea of it being in buffalo makes me really want to attend because I'm not trying to leave buffalo. The college is Trocaire. Its a private college which means that's more money but i don't know exactly whats its going to cost to attend so i have to do some research on that just in case i have to attend somewhere else to get a degree in nursing. Its a two year college which is good for me because i can't be in school that long not saying that in a bad way. I just like to sleep alot. But anyways back to the college information. One thing about Trocaire college is if I feel I want to keep going after two years and get a higher degree i can because trocaire have transfer agreements. I went and searched some information on the college and i wanted to see what people where saying is true. According to the site i went on you should choose trocaire for nursing because there is flexible scheduling, individual attention, dedicated faculty, hands-on experience, state-of-the-art labs, and small clinical groups. Just from this information i want to attend so far but i cant say I'm going there yet because i have to find out the cost and requirements to attend the school. I found out the requirements to attend.
I need a high school average of 85% or better and I don't meet that standards so hopefully i meet another requirement that will help me become a registered nurse. I needed to take Math 1, Biology, and Chemistry while in high school. I did not take Chemistry so right now its not looking to good for me. All candidates for the Nursing program must take the Accuplacer test and the TEAS test.
-Anatomy & Physiology I with Lab is a pre-professional requirement that must be successfully completed prior to the first semester's nursing course work.
Minimum Degree Requirements:
-A total of at least 67 semester hours with a Quality Point Average of 2.0
*A minimum grade of "C" (2.0) is required in all courses. A “C-” is not acceptable. (Nursing-Day )
All of this I have to accomplish. It seems like alot but I'm willing to meet those requirements to become a nurse. I also have to be ready to spend long hours studying and memorizing scientific information. Ready to learn about ethical issues related to terminal illness and death. I will be gaining my credit for college by working in hospitals and health institutions. I think im ready for this part and thats college. Now im ready to find out whats next.

The new Ice age is the new world
I found a lot of information about the causes from global warming from a website called Ecobridge. The article mostly talked about fuel consumption and its effect on Earth's atmostphere. For example, "in 2002 about 40% of
Another source of pollution is coal, which "accounts for 93 percent of the emissions from the electric utility industry. Natural gas gives off 50% of the carbon dioxide into the air a metric ton of carbon equals about 10,000 miles of driving at 25 miles per gallon of gasoline or about one year of home heating using a natural gas-fired furnace or about four months of electricity from coal fired generation("Causes of Global Warming" ). This coal that is being burned to make steel and other materials around the world is ruining the ozone layer. Are country as an american should find different things to burn so steel and those other materials could be made.
Carbon dioxide is another source of pollution. About 33% of U.S carbon dioxide emissions comes from the burning of gasoline in internal combustion engines of cars and light trucks". Vehicles with poor gas mileage contribute the most to global warming. All the old cars threw off the most carbon dioxide between cars now. Buildings structure account for about 12% of carbon dioxide emissions. While carbon dioxide is the principal greenhouse gas, methane is second most important ("Causes of Global Warming" ). There are many cars in this country and other countries. Thats alot of carbon dioxide emissions being thrown off of cars in the world. We should find another source energy to run cars and other gasoline motors.
Methane is another cause of global warming. According to the IPCC, Methane is more than 20 times as effective as CO2 at trapping heat in the atmosphere. After carbon emissions caused by humans.("Causes of Global Warming" ). Methane gases comes from sewers, manure plants, and garbage.
Deforestation is the second principle cause of atmospheric carbn dioxide. Deforestation is responsible forby the burning and cutting of about 34 million acres of trees each year. Trees breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen but we keep cutting down trees so more carbon dioxide is in the air than oxygen. Its easier to cut down the tree then it is to grow a tree cause it takes many decades fo them to grow. We are losing millions of acres of rainforests each year ("Causes of Global Warming" ). The use of aerosal can sprays is also a cause of trapping heat into the earths atmosphere. Trees are being cut down and without a trace of a new seed to grow them in the matter of minutes. Carbon dioxide gases are multiplying and we as citizens try to do something of this deforeststion and its not working Global Warming is coming faster then we can blink.

Each Negative Feeling Brings With It An Opportunity of Growth
My search has made it to the end of the road successfully. In order to make it to the end I had to know where this road begin. And I did. I was bound to figure out where my negative emotions/feelings comes from and how do I deal with them. With the studies I did on myself and my research from the computer this tale should educate you and help you in to succeeding as well as I did successfully when it comes to dealing with negative emotions. This is what I've learned.
It starts when your internal guidance system alerts you when your human needs are not being met. That's when you begin to feel misunderstood. When dealing with difficult feelings I learned you must listen without defending yourself, don't be dramatic, don't wait till things build up,don't blame or lye in guilt traps, talk about how you feel, ask how the other person feels and offer a way to save face("I misunderstood you").Be specific rather than general.Specify the degree of the feeling it will reduce being misunderstood. If you are having mixed feelings express each one individually rather than whole this will also decrease you from being misunderstood.
Express your feelings productively.Respectfully confront someone when you are bothered by his or hers behaviors.Prevent feelings from festering into a bigger problem. You should try to avoid the common mistakes like: not expressing feelings at all, expressing belief or judgment, only expressing negative feelings and the nonverbal body language contradicting the words for example smiling when irritated. You have to have alot of emotional intelligence or it will cause you to become emotionally ignorant.
Each negative feeling brings with it an opportunity of growth.Which equal success. Negative emotions have a positive value.Negative feelings helps us through a course of health and happiness. It lets us know when we are veering away from our goals, our beliefs, our values, our standards, our confront zones, our physical health and our happiness.Lets use fear an example.Having the fear of losing control helps us takes steps necessary to regain a sense of control our lives. The fear of failure helps us to accomplish goals and motivate to prepare. The fear of being alone helps us reach compromises with others. The fear of dependence helps us develop our own resources and become self-reliant.
With this new found information I think I can now take bigger steps in becoming better at managing my negative emotions. I will no longer wait till things build up. I will not allow jerks to get under my skin.I can now say I'm emotionally intelligent and will not allow anyone to take my happiness for me. And this where my new opportunity for growth begins.......

Emotional Success
#1 Develop The Right Attitude
Resilient people tend to view life’s difficulties as challenges and respond accordingly with action, rather than with fear, self-pity, blame or a "victim mentality." While life can be very challenging, an important step in becoming more resilient is to develop positive self-talk and to remind yourself that you are strong and can grow stronger and more wise as you handle life’s challenges.
#2 Become Aware
Part of resilience is emotional awareness; it’s important to understand what you’re feeling and why. Sometimes people feel overwhelmed with their emotions, and this frightens and immobilizes them. Knowing why you feel upset can provide valuable information about what needs to change in your life. It’s also important to do research on how to meet the challenges you face. Maintaining a journal can help you explore your inner world and come up with a plan of action.
#3 Develop An Internal Locus of Control
Resilient people believe that they’re in control of their lives, and it’s true: while we can’t control our circumstances, we can control how we respond to those circumstances, and that makes a big difference in our attitudes and in the course our lives take. Fortunately, you can develop an internal locus of control.
#4 Cultivate Optimism
Being an optimist is more than looking on the bright side (though that helps). It’s a way of viewing the world where you maximize your strengths and accomplishments, and minimize your weaknesses and setbacks. Developing a more optimistic world view can help you become more resilient.
Become an Optimist
#5 Rally Social Support
While we ultimately face our own challenges, a supportive friend or group of friends can help lighten the load. Those with strong networks of social support tend to stay healthier and happier throughout life, and tend to cope well with stress. Conversely, those with little support may find themselves more vulnerable, and those with conflicted and unsupportive relationships tend to fare even worse.
Developing a Supportive Network of Friends
#6 Maintain Your Sense of Humor
If you’re able to laugh at life’s frustrations, you can have increased immunity, if you will, to stress and adversity. Those with a sense of humor about life tend to experience life as less stressful, are able to bond with others during difficult times, and experience the numerous benefits of laughter. If you can take a step back from difficult situations long enough to maintain your sense of humor, you will be more resilient, too.
#7 Don’t Give Up
While many people know of coping strategies that can help with stress, as with diets and exercise programs, the most successful individuals are those who maintain the effort for the long term. Don’t give up on your situation; don’t stop working toward getting through it. Trust the process.
Follow these steps to be successful.

What is homicide?
what is homicide?
In my opinion, homicide is an art to killers. You know how theres always a story behind an painting? Theres always an story behind an murder. Crazy, weird, and sad stories. Ones that really make no sense or something you could of work out. Homicide is an sad story to people lives who once lost a loved one. soomeone dear and close to them. There is some where in the human mind that is like a bomb and as soon as it is lit someones bound to get hurt or shall I say murdered. Homicide I think is scary just imagine what the victum is thinking right before they're about to die.
Homicide is the killing of one person by another. At common law, homicide is classified in three ways:
Justifiable homicide, which is commanded or authorized by law, such as the act of a police officer killing an armed suspect who is shooting at him, excusable homicide, for which there is a legal defense, such as the act of a person shooting an armed intruder in his own home, and criminal homicide which is divided into many different categories.
In my research I found out that in 2002 there were 16,204 homicides in the United States. African Americans are six times more likely to be victims and seven times more likely to commit homicide than Caucasians. Now thats sad and the news say it's either domestiv violence or gang violence. As I went deeeper into my research it stated that about three quarters of the victims are males, and about ninety percent of offenders are males. One-third of murder victims and almost half the offenders are under the age of 25. That mean they havn't even got a chance to experience there own life these are very scary facts and they need to be taken seriously and clearly states that there is a need for early intervention. I want to send a big and clear message to these insane people. You must really don't have a life to really stand there and take someone elses.
Each state in the United States decides what the punishment is for homicide and what degree it is. The degree is considered the severity of the crime. For example in New Hampshire is it broken down like this:
1. Capital murder-punishable by death.
2. First degree murder-which is a mandatory life sentence.
3. Second degree murder-punishable by any term up to life.
4. Manslaughter-punishable for a term not to exceed more than 30 years.
5. Negligent homicide-punishable by three and a half to seven years in jail.
Each state has the right to decide how homicide is classified and what elements make a crime a homicide. This is one of the reasons the judicial process can be so confusing. There are a lot more difficulties prosecuting a crime when more then one state is involved. My next question is do you think thhese people desrve capital punishment.

The Hard Part...Finding More Info
Right now I'm having the hardest time trying to find information on my topic. It seems as if I'm going in circles, and I keep coming across the same information, or information that is irrelevant to my topic. So, now I am just typing in different key words, searching for something that would I would be able to use. But, even when typing in key words (using quotes) I still am having the hardest time finding what I am looking for. In my research I want to know: How does the brains thought process for adventure work?
Since I'm not having too much luck with my research on my topic, I decided I will interview my best friend (who is my age) and his father (who is like my father). They both ride motorcycles, and I've known my best friend since we were 11 years old (were now 18 years old). As long as I've known my best friend Terrelle, he has always been the dare devil type. With me always being around him, that's what made us close, because I was the same way.
Now what is funny is Terrelle and I are just a like. We both like to have fun and dare to be different. But when it comes to my little brother Cameron (who is 16 years old) and I, we are like night and day. I'm the adventurous one who likes to have fun at any risk. Cameron is just stiff/uptight, I think he's boring, but he's just not like Terrelle and I. Ever since we were little, I was the adventurous one, and my brother Cameron was the scared one.
So, I really want to know what makes Terrelle and I so different form my little brother Cameron? Why is Cameron so scared to have fun, and Terrelle and I are always doing something that we can look back on and laugh about?
But then again what is adventure? And what is fun? They both have different levels of excitement. But what triggers that excitement?
Q: How old were you when you started riding motorcycles?
A: "I started riding at 7 years old."
Q: What/ who got you started riding motorcycles?
A: "My father, and always being around motorcycles growing up."
Q: Have you ever feared riding?
A: "For about a week after my motorcycle accident I was in, but no."
Q: What else do you do that can be adventurous?
A: "Just riding."
Q: What was the first "dare devil" thing you did that was adventurous?
A: "I jumped off my grandmother's roof when I was younger."
Q: Do you think you have your own sense of adventure, or do you get it from your Dad?
A: "No, because my Dad is more laid back. I don't know where I get it from."
Q: What do you fear the most?
A: "Spiders."
Q: Do you think of yourself as an adventurous person?
A: "Yes."

Emotional Improvement
OK I can say I'm learning to handle my feelings that I thought were uncontrollable. I learned to express my feelings productively. This means instead of walking away from someone when you are bothered by their behaviors the right thing to do is to confront them but respectfully.
I can now say I have more emotional strength and intelligence than I had before.

Moving forward with my search
Blog:#2
So as i started my search on is becoming a registered nurse something for me i wanted to find out exactly what is a registered nurse first before i can do anything. So i went to Google.com typed in registered nurse and found out that its a health care professional responsible for implemeting the practice of nursing through the use of the nursing process. i found this information on ("Registered nurse"). But this is not enough information to make my mind up yet. I said to myself I need more details on a registered nurse so i scrolled down the page. I found out that if you become a registered nurse in a hospital you have a big part because you are assigned a supervisory role to look over the work performed by LPNs and unlicensed assistive(nursing assistants) and you are holded responsible for the patient safety and care. I thought to myself after finding this piece of information, do I want it to be my part if a LPN or Nurse assistant mess up on a patient. But after I thought about it I said hey why not give it a try, they just might know what there doing and actually be good at it. So this issue I'm going to put past me and move forward with my search.
OK so I found out what a registered nurse is now i need to know what is their actual job description. I know they take care of sick people but i also just found out they take care of injured people to. To do this they run tests on the sick person to see what was the thing that caused them to become ill. Not only do they treat patients they also educate them on how to take care of their families and their self. Their daily jobs depends on the work setting. That sounds like something I'm looking forward to do because me personally I dont like doing the samething over and over again I like to try new things. If their job duty for the day is to provide direct care to a patient, they observe, assess, and record symptoms. My mind is made up so far so im going to continue on with my search.

Emotions and Feelings
In the process of my research I learned that emotions and feelings is our internal guidance system. This means this alerts you when human needs are not being met. when you are feeling this way here are questions to ask yourself:
How am I feeling?
Is it a healthy feeling?
How do i want to feel?
What would help me feel better?
DEALING WITH DIFFICULT FEELING YOU MUST:
1.Listen without defending yourself
2.Manage negative emotions
3. Be Understanding
4.Be forgiving
5. Have Emotional honesty
6.Know Emotional needs
7.Have emotional intelligence
MANAGING NEGATIVE EMOTIONS YOU MUST:
1.Not be dramatic
2.Not wait till things build up
3.Not blame or lay in guilt trap
4.Talk about how you feel
5.Ask how the other person feels
6.Offer a way to save face ("I misunderstood you")
This adds up to you having to be more specific rather than being general. Specify the degree of the feeling it will reduce being misunderstood. Express each feeling individual when you have more than one or are mixed because this will also decrease your risk of being misunderstood.

I became interested in global warming because soon or later the world will go into another ice age and if it happens while im alive i would like to be prepared for it.What i know about global warming is that green house gases are whats killing our ozone layer. The ozone layer is a protective covering over earth but it is corrupted by the aerosal sprays that kills the ozone layer which lets in ultra violet rays.My essential question is what types of methods can I personally use to prevent Global Warming? My foundation questions are What are the causes of global warming? How will global warming effect our society? How can i prevent green house gases? How do cars effect global warming? What other sources of energy can we use instead of our natural resources? How will global warming affect our future? Is global warming a scientific fact?

Difficult Feelings In Action
When my search began it was kind of funny. The day i began my researching I was dealing with difficult feelings towards my teacher and they caused me a trip to the principals office. I had just returned back to the class after being kicked out 2 days prior to that. I was still upset and angry and I had to return back to the class without my previous bad feelings not being dealt with and that will cause alot of tension. So I entered the classroom and the teacher says "Hi" like there was no type of problem. I just gave the look like "why the hell are you speaking to me"and kept walking. So I sat down thinking to myself I'd fix him "I'm not going to do any work today". Then he came in and sat in front of me doing it just to agitate me because he knows I'm already frustrated with him. So I sigh and say "GOD" and storm away.I had been absent from school the previous day and when your absent you get an admit slip to admit you back to class.I think its kind of awkward because he never not once in my 4years of being in his class asked me for that slip so why now? I get it he's really tryna get me to crack he's pushing me to my limit. So he follows me and keep asking "wheres your admit" "wheres your admit" I calmly said I don't have one,he says "get one or thats a write up" and I reply "you can write what you want to write" and that comment got me kicked out.
I realized that one way or another your going to have to learn to control your feelings or they really going to take over you. so here's a quote "Control your feelings don't let your Feelings control you"

Listen To This..."Does Age Quash Our Spirit of Adventure?"
I LISTENED TO THE RADIO STATION CALLED NPR, ON MY TOPIC ON LINE...
"Does Age Quash Our Spirit of Adventure?"
"Does Age Quash Our Spirit of Adventure?"
"Is there a certain age when the typical American passes from the novelty stage to utter predictability?"(Krulwich )
Studies show that when you are fourteen to twenty one years old is when your wide open to new things. By age thirty five most people don't care about new things, such as different foods for example. Like if you haven't tried sushi by the age of thirty five, then you most likely wouldn't cart to try it at all. The window for new things is open from ages fourteen to twenty one, and closed by the age of thirty five. If your over thirty nine and never tried a new food, then your adventure for food is over.
Studies show that people who get piercing are usually between ages sixteen to twenty three. But after twenty three you most likely will not try it. (Krulwich )
Some people do retain there sense of adventure. Why does the adventurous ways of life disappear? People who don't, 1)spend a long time at the same job, or 2)they succeed, there good at it.
Then you become animate. (Note: don't become animate.)
Loosing a sense of adventure is not only just for humans but for animals too. Some animals, like gorillas, will not try new foods. The younger gorillas will be the first one to usually try new things such as foods. They almost sound like us. Is there a difference between youth & novelty? Sometimes your adventurous ways have to do with how or where you were raised, your lifestyle background.

My Research on What are people Motives For Killing
post #2
So far my research has been going just as Ive planned. I wanted to know what are people motives for killing? and what drives them to that point. I wanted to get inside of the killers head/mind and try and understand what be going through there minds. Now I might not find out everything I want to know but I'm going to find out most of it.
Now as I went exploring into the inter net world I found out that in 1990 the reasons for murder in the U.S. was 7.1% narcotics, 6.0% other felonies, 10.1 robbery, 16.5 unknown, 22.5% other motives, and 3.7 arguments. Now I figured the 22.5% that was other and the 16.5% unknown came from being abused as a child with alcoholics as parent/s or getting sexually abused as a child. Any type of abuse while growing up not understanding what it was you did wrong to deserve it or thinking it's your fault you grow up real messed up in the head.

Have you ever fantasized about killing someone? If your answer is yes your not alone. A ground breaking study by leading physiological research Buss reveals that 91% of men and 81% women have had at least one vivid fantasy often intense and astonishingly detailed of committing murder though we may like to think that murderers are committed by people normal. The murder next door is, as Buss highlights, the vast majority of murders are committed by people who, until the day they kill, seem perfectly normal. The murderer next door is a riveting lark into the dark underworld of the human mind and why, Buss reveals, thew pressure of evolutionary competition have adapted our mind for murder. Buss takes us on a fascinated journey into the killing mind with gripping stories about specific murder cases, murderer own account of why they killed, and many astonishing quotes from the most massive study of homicidal fantasies ever conducted, with peoples amazingly detailed accounts of the murders they considered committing where as previous theories of murder propose that homicide is something outside of human nature pathology imposed from without by the distorting influences of culture, media images poverty, or child abuse Buss argues that killing is fundamentally in our nature. Our minds have developed to kill.

What Part Of The Brain Is Responsible For What? {Post #2.}
In order to get a better understand of what I'm looking for in my research, I wanted to know what part of the brain is responsible for what? Because in order to find out how your thought process works, you need to know how the brain works first.
There are eight different parts of the human brain.
1.) The Frontal Lobe- One of the four major divisions of the cerebral cortex. This part of the brain regulates decision making, problem solving, control of purposeful behaviors, consciousness, & emotions.
2.) The Primary Motor Cortex- This is patr of the frontal lobe & is responsible for regulating voluntary movements.
3.) The Primary Sensory Cortex- This is part of the pariental lobe & processes sensory information recieved from the body.
4.) The Parietal Lobe- One of four major divisions of the cerebral cortex. This lobe recieves & processes sensory information from the body. This is also where letters from words & words combine into thoughts.
5.) The Temporal Lobe- One of four major divisions of the cerebral cortex. This part of the brainregulates memory, emotions, hearing, language, & learning.
6.) The Occipital Lobe- One of four major divisions of the cerebral cortex. This lobe prosesses information related to vision.
7.) The Cerebellum- This regulates the initation & timing of movement & is important for maintaining balance & posture. This also helps modulate the force, steadiness, & range of movement.
8.) The Brain Stem- This connects the brain & the spinal cord. it controls many basic functions including heart rate, breathing, eating, & sleeping.
The brain is reaponsible for all of your body actions, but I think the five main parts of the brain that I would have to study would be:
1.) The Frontal Lobe is responsible for your decision making.
2.) The Primary Motor Cortex is responsible for your regulating voluntary movements.
3.) The Temporal Lobe is responsible for your hearing & learning.
4.) The Occipital Lobe is responsible for your vision.
5.) The Cerebellum is responsible for maintaining balance & posture. It also helpes with you steadiness & range of movement.

Why i became interested in becoming a Registered Nurse
There are somethings i know about this and alot of things i need to know before i know if this is what i want to become. I know that you give the residents there shots if you become a registered nurse and you work in a nursing home. If you work at like a doctors office you take the patient blood pressure get there height and weight. I dont really know to much about being a registered nurse thats why this question is important to me. I know im able to pick the hours i am able to work. The registered nurse at my doctors office told me that if i plan on going to college for four years i should move away because when you attend college for four years you are suppose to make more money than you would if you attend for two years but she said they pay you the same amount if you go for two or four years.
I have alot of people that deal with residents or patients in my family and that also help me make up my mind about what i want to become. Worknig at Garden Gate Health Care Facility also make me think is this were i want to be working for the rest of my working days. This how i became confused about working in a nursing home or in a doctors office. So 'Is A Registered Nurse something i want to become' is the question i want to know because i have only a few months before i attend college.

Why do people kill?
I first understood what murder was when I watched Law in Order Special Victims Unit or Criminal Intent. The Special Victims Unit is sexually heinous crimes that take place in the city of New York and Criminal Intent is just straight out bloody murders that crimes have to get solved and criminals have to get caught. When I was a young girl I wanted to be a cop and put criminals away and help people but now after watching this show I know I'm to emotional and can't handle it. So I'm going to be a nurse and help the victims and leave the criminals to the professionals. I tried to put myself in the murderer's place and imagine myself doing the mutilation to see whats so exciting about murder. But I can't do it, it's to much for my imagination to handle.
Since I couldn't get this crucifying image in my head and looked up research and theres many different reasons why. And with some cases there just unexplainable. Some cases the murderer was abused as a child by an attic parent/s. And at other times they was just neglected as children and unwanted so there parents abused them and take out there anger from the day out on there kids. Sometimes they were sexually abused and they grow up taking it out on the world. But some people are just sick and was born a natural killer. Speaking of born a natural killer there was a movie called "Born a Natural Killer" and it was a crazy movie but to make a long story short it was a girl who lived in a normal household as it seemed she lived with both parents and had a baby brother and her father abused and raped her almost everyday till one day she wanted to go to a concert he told her no and told her to go upstairs and wait for him. Well while he was eating dinner she snuck off with the meat delivery man and they fell in love but they were really crazy and he got abused by his alcoholic father and every time they get visions of what they're parents did to them they go off and kill someone. Crazy right? well if you think I'm making this up do some research and see how crazy I am.
Seeing this movie and doing all the research i did made me wonder about all the abused children around the world and had me thinking how they have no one but those abusive parents. And how they might be our future killers. But if we find someway to help them maybe we can stop this. Yes, we can that's why there are commercials and secret hot lines to help these children and I hope it helps because I would hate to be in their shoes!

A Sense Of Adventure: Before The Search {Post 1:Intro}
I always was the "dare devil" type of girl in the family and out of all of my friends, but my favorite interest was always in motorcycles. I've loved motorcycles ever since my Uncle use to give me rides when I was younger. He showed me the correct way to get on a bike without me getting burned by the exhaust pipe on the side. I would just hold on tight and watch everything pass by so quickly. I always had a passion for speed, and riding motorcycles was right up my alley! But besides loving the speed of a bike, I also had a thing for turning. When you turn on a motorcycle you have to lean to the side. I think I love speed and leaning because it reminds me of racing. From when I was younger to now I love watching street races. Different local bike clubs would race about four streets over from my house. No matter what time it is I would always find myself sprinting to Exchange Street just to watch. So, motorcycles are defiantly my sense of adventure and excitement. And I just wanted to know how can an individuals' mind be - so to say, "programed", to having a passion for adventure and being the "dare devil" out of the group?
Then when I was about ten or eleven years old, some new neighbors moved in four houses down the street from me. These new neighbors had a son the same age as us (my brother, friends, and I). We all became close friends (and are still close to this day). Well it just so happens that the "new boy" had a mo peg (like a small version of a motorcycle), and use to ride it all the time. He loved motorcycles just as much as I do, and I think that is what made us even closer friends. His Dad rode, fixed, and painted motorcycles as a hobby. With me always being around him and his Dad I was automatically "hooked"!
So, from ten or eleven years old to now at eighteen years old, I've been working on motorcycles with my friends Dad every summer. I would go to work all day in the summer, then come home and change my clothes to work on motorcycles with my friends Dad. I love being different, and this is one of my many qualities of mine that is very different. Yes, I was the little girl that use to put a pop can or huggy juice box in my bike tire just so it can sound like a motorcycle. Because if you think about it, how many girls have you met with my passionate interests in motorcycles?
Riding, fixing, and painting motorcycles is my sense of adventure, my rush in life so to speak. And in my research project I want to know how the brain works when it comes to having fun, living life, and daring to be adventurous.
I have a deep passion for motorcycles, and that is a very adventurous activity for myself and many others. So, my essential question is, how does the brains thought process for an adventurous mind work?

Somethings Tearing Me Apart! What Is It?
I became interested in this topic because I find it hard for myself to overcome difficult feelings. I sometimes let the feelings build up and it causes alot of angry, frustration, disappointment, and hard feelings towards others.
Before I start my research I can tell you only thing I know about dealing with difficult feelings is to walk away. And I can tell you right now that that dont work because I find later on the hard feelings come back and I find myself where I begin. Dealing with mixed emotions and it seems like I can never get over the bridge that I built. So Enhancing a search on dealing with difficult feelings will help me build a bridge and get over it. It will help me into guiding me into steps step by step with learning techniques when dealing with difficult feelings.
My essential questions is How can people learn how to handle difficult feelings.

The atmosphere where the next body is found
The Christmas Killer: By Patricia Windsor
post#4
Pages: 125-263
So Rose decided if Nancy come back to tell her where to find the body, she would let her. This time she said she would pay attention to every detail she see. If i was Rose i don't think i would have let Nancy come into my life if there was a way to fight her off i would. It was only making her life crazy, people were looking at her different and yet she see it as a way of helping people. Even though Nancy only tell her where the people at once there dead.
I think its some secret to Rose life because her mom wanted to tell her something but decided not to. Rose was sick for a while then when she got well and went back to school something took over her body. Blood start coming out of her mouth, she couldn't get any words out her mouth to tell her twin what was happening to her. I think this has something to do with her being able to talk to the dead. She did let Nancy take her to the place where the dead body was but it was nothing but bones in a junkyard. Do you think that theres something living inside of Rosecleer?
Another missing girl in town
The Christmas Killer: By Patricia Windsor Post#3 Pages:36-124 A couple of days later Rosecleer was asked to read her history paper out loud to the class. Rose paper was on witches. After her speech there were alot of whispers, i could understand why and was beginning to think the same thing everyone else was thinking. Is Rose a witch after all she did know where to find Nancy body and no one believed her about the dreams. I think Rose should have did her history paper on something else being in the situation she is in. Once she left school she went to dance class while there she saw Nancy in the window. Nancy was calling her name to come to the window Rose was scared for her life. Another side of Rose came out of her, she started banging her head on the window and screaming. Her dance teacher rushed over to calm her down. They ended dance rehearsal and the teacher suggested that she take Rose home. It was late when Rose got home so she decided to just go to her room and lay down. She slept fine that night. The next night Nancy paid her visit to tell her that her friend was missing but Rose didn't want to here what she had to say. The next day after Nancy had paid Rose a visit her twin brother told her that it was another girl missing. Rose don't want anything to do with these dreams but she wants to help. Will Rose let Nancy tell her where to find her friend? |

She also Say's, "Just because Barry's flat on his back in the hospital where he can't stand up for himself, you want to throw him to the wolves." And I agree because once they made that pact they can't change anything. Barry don't want to go to jail for an accident that happened way last summer the only thing that's going to change is them being locked behind bars and Barry too no matter what condition he's in.
"Couldn't we talk to him" Julie says? "He's bound to know what happened". So
basically they trying to find out if Barry got a chance to see who the person is who shot him because they know he's the one that sent Julie that article. Now Ray's suggesting can they talk to him by phone. Will he know who the phys co is?

Julie was telling the rest of her friends about the newspaper article she got in the mail when she got her acceptance letter last saturday. They all are stuck and wondering did someone already go to the police. They think it's someone who hated Barry because they shot him. But they're also second guessing because Helen said no one hates Barry he never did anything to anyone. She telling them she knows Barry better than anyone and she know don't no one hate him.
Now Ray is suggesting they go to police and tell them about the accident. He said, "I vote we go to the police,"Ray said, "and tell them the whole story. It's what we should have done in the very beginning." Now whoever this phys co is he got these kids shaking in their pants. They're panicking. now Helen disagree with him. She said. "The police!" "We can't do that, and you know it. We made a pact." And I agree because once you make a pact you can't go back!!! lol
But seriously I don't think they should go to the police now they should have been done that it's too late now. They should of done that in the beginning when it first happened now they're going to get in more trouble. Are they going to tell the police?

Tell- Is Jack Trying To Be Part Of The Picture?
Tell - Nora McClintock
Post #4.

Jack is a friend of the family, more so a friend of the mother than Phil's. The reason why I'm asking if Jack is trying to be part of the family or not is because now David's mother has changed her look and Jack is coming around more often.

Jack is a friend of the family, more so a friend of the mother than Phil's. The reason why I'm asking if Jack is trying to be part of the family or not is because now David's mother has changed her look and Jack is coming around more often.
The mother is wearing her hair down, dressing in tight-fitting clothes, ordered some food, opened a couple of beers for her and Jack. After all this Jack went and put some coffee on for himself and his mother. It sounds like there getting closer.
It seems like everyone knows something that David doesn't. So far, Jack has known David's mother for quite some time. Jack has known David's mother before he knew Phil. David thought he was just one of Phil's friends. David keeps asking Jack if he knew who his father was, and Jack will not answer him, but you can tell he does know something. Why don't they just tell David the truth? I think things will be a lot easier and less confusing. I think Jack either knows David's father, or is David's father. The mother could have easily made up that story of the farther being killed in a car accident.
Now the cops called looking for David to come in a talk. David replied "What for?", and then said "I tried to sound like I had no idea what the cops would want with me." So, that sounds really suspicious. I think David shot Phil, because his thought process it just off the wall now!
When Phil was shot he was making a withdrawal from the bank machine. The cop was telling David that they were viewing the surveillance video out side the bank, he then asked David why is it that he appears on the video a block away from where Phil was shot 10 minuets before it happened (Phil was killed 15 minuets before midnight)? David claims that he was at home by 10:30. But he was caught on tape 25 minuets before midnight.
This is really getting crazy! Now I really want to know who the killer is?

So terrifying it can hunt you!
Im readind the novel, "I know what you did last summer", by Lois Duncan. So far i've read chapters 1,2&3.This book seems very mysterious. Last summer a group of friends made a promise to conceal a ludacris secret that can put them all in jeopardy. Crazy and spooky hun? Then someone keep sending all four friends different messages letting them know that he/she knows they're terrifying secret. The terror is starting all over again. So far i don't know what the shocking secret is but i know that these group of kids don't want anyone to find out about it. why? i don't know so i have to keep reading. Whatever the secret is it's gotta be pretty bad the way these kids are going about the situation. In the beginning of this genre there's a girl name julie and she went to go get the mail like every morning. I guess she's been waiting for an a acceptance letter from the college she's been waiting to get into, she got mail from the college and she opened it slowly and she got accepted and she was very excited and happy and so ws her mother. Julie mom leaned over the table and seen another envelope it was the size of a party invitation. Julie opened the envelope slowly as she opened the note in bold print it said, I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER!!! The first message.

Why is Rose having these wierd dreams
The Christmas Killer- Patricia Windsor
Post#2
pages:8-35
The news of Nancy Emerson startled the town. There were no details that lead to her missing. Everyone around town started making theories of what happen to Nancy. The main character Rosecleer believed she was dead she didn't want it to be true but she just had a feeling. Further along in the story Rose started have weird dreams. Her first weird dream, Nancy was in her dream telling her to follow her they were flying to some place. Rose couldn't really make out where Nancy had showed her but she had some details. After i read this part i was a little confused because out of all people in the story Rose had the dream and Rose was the last one to see Nancy. Rose had a twin that she told her dreams to. He suggested that she go and tell someone. She did like her twin told her and the details she had was enough for them to find Nancy dead body. Everyone started looking at rose different because she was able to tell the police where rose body can be found but only because of the dream. It wasn't a good thing for Rose. Why do you think Rose is connecting with the dead? I'm interesting in finding out.

the mist of the dust
The pages i have read are 5 to 26 and it has been very interesting now.The thing that made me like this book was the words. The way the author spoke the words. For example: "The dust stung the sides of her face, filling her nose and coating her lips.with awhir and a flutter, half a dozen sheets of notebook paper went flying past her like strange, white birds realeased suddenly from the confinment of their cage." That right there had me stuck to see what they really were talking about. turn out that she was talking about a piece of paper but, it seem preety cool on how the author * so seemingly told how that as her paper started to come out of her hand and left those fingers that the dust was just hitting in the face it really meant that she was just standing there in a para noia shock. she looked like a rock that hasnt been moved in years. Its a good book so far and i liked it.

Tell- You Can Tell David Wasn't Too Fond Of Phil
Tell - Nora McClintock
Post #3.
Pages 38-45
David was always quick to say what he didn't like about Phil's ways. He didn't like that Phil never took his mom to any chinese food, but always liked to go to bars and pubs just so he could drink his beer. The way David talks about Phil, it makes you not like him too much. Phil does sound alittle selfish. He gambles all of his (and the familey's) money away, he only like to eat at places to bennifite himself, and after being out all night gambling, he would want to sleep all day.
Maby David did have something to do with his death. If not it would be very understandable why he is not upset about it too much about it.

Tell- The Different Characteristics In A Grieving Time.
Tell - Nora McClintock
Post #2.
Pages 18-38
It seems like the mother was more worried about her relationship with Phil over her two boys (David & Jamie). She would threaten or bribe them to listen and be good wail Phil was around. She would tell them if there not good, then she'll take the TV away. Or if they were good, then she'll buy them new play station games. She would say, "If you mess up this relationship for me, I don't know what I'll do". This characteristic is very selfish on the mothers' behalf.

David most liklt didn't care for Phil so much because it is very hard to warm up to another "father-figure", when your real father has passed away. David's mother did not make the situation any easer either, because she showed that she put her relationship first.
The mother assumed a lot about Phil. She thought he was going to take care of her alive, or dead. Well, he did not leave her any money, no insurance if anything happened to him. He also had taken out the mortgage on the house because he gambled a lot and lost a lot. It turns out that there was almost nothing in the bank. So, once again they are broke. The mother was trying to avoid this situation by being the "perfect wife", but it turns out that being the "perfect wife" isn't everything!
If I were her I would feel terrible, because she knew she was rough on her boys. You never put someone in front of you own blood, much less a man (or relationship) in front of your own children.

The Christmas Killer
The book im reading is called The Christmas Killer written by Patricia Windsor. The book has 263 pages. So far this book is very interesting. It caught my attention from the beginning. It started off as a mystery about a young girl who came up missing with no links to her body. This was the towns first crime and nobody knew how to start off looking for the body. The main character Rose was the last person to have a conversation with her. The last thing Nancy (the young girl who was missing) said to Rose is "i have to tell you something'. But decided not to tell Rose and she walked away. I wonder if anybody saw that Rose was the last person to talk to her before she came up missing. If so they probably will start to believe Rose had something to do with.

Killing Mr. Griffin BY:Lois Duncan
The impressions that i have on this book is good. The way this book is being told is cool. The excitement of who is going to die next. The sound of the killer coming after you or the weight of the killer watching your every move. The killer attempting to black mail you to steal your identity. The nightmare you could have tonight or the nightmare you are already in and you can't get out or the thief that could break into your house and you would not know who it is.The life you could of had before your life got stolen from someone. The book called The Red Kayak when the little boy found out about his friends drilling a hole into the kayak then to find out that the lady and her son went out onto the lake with the drilled hole in the kayak. He did not know what to do.The lady's son died because of the hole. That is a good mystery book that i recommend people should read.Mysteries are great books they give you insite of how someone or something could happen just like a mystery book

Write 175-225 words about your first impressions of the book. What have you noticed so far?
Well, so far this is turning into a murder mystery. Just knowing that in general will make the book interesting. A husband/ stepfather of one was killed in a shooting a few hours before 2:00am (the police came to the house around 2:00am). But the question is what was he really doing out at 2:00 in the morning?
I kind of get the feeling that David and his stepfather didn't get along. Because he was kind of hesitating on answering the cops questions. It was almost like suspicious behavior. David should of just cooperated with the deactivates, so he wouldn't look suspicious.
I don't know, but for some reason it seems like David (the son) didn't care for Phil (the father) too much. I don't know why, but thats the vibe David is giving off. David told his mother to stop calling Phil his father. So, that was an odd to say at a furnal to your mother while shes griving.

The reason why we choose to read a mystery genre
The reason we choose to read a mystery genre is because we all agreed that mystery is more interesting. It starts off with a good intro which makes u want to read more. It can be scary and sometimes dramatic. As we looked and found out information on mystery genres we realized that over 60 million mystery books were sold and that let us know that we picked a good genre to read. We didn't want to be bored while doing this assignment so we had to pick something that we would take time out to read and write about. We also picked this genre so that when we are done and its time to grab the readers attention about the book we read we want to be able to give a exciting speech or essay to make other people want to read mystery and it can remain the second best selling genre.

Independent Reading Project Blog Assessment
John - 4.5/5 Responses
John, don't feel like you have to answer every question for your responses. Some questions have multiple parts to jog your memory. Feel free to focus on only one thing. There are some inaccuracies in your responses and some statements that need more information, like your statements about Vietnam.
Shana 3.5/5 Responses (one in draft)
I really like that third response. You delve deeply into the character's world and connect it with what you see today. More of that. Make sure you keep up with your work even if you are absent.
Elyse - 5/5 Responses
They are coming out with a "And Then There Were None" for the Nintendo Wii. I'm thinking about buying it. The island sounds like a great setting for this type of story. Sort of sounds like "The Most Dangerous Game," a short story written by Richard Connell. Very nice responses. Way to set the bar high.
Delicia - 4/5 Responses
I like your response, but is there anything thematic going on that will make this a good book to read in 20 years? Let's make sure to complete all of our assignments.

The Things They Carried
The thing i liked about this book was that it showed that the characters had a hard time in the vietnam war and most of them came back as different people, basically they changed as a person.Yes i enjoyed the book because it shows that life was hard back in the day.You had t think about getting drafted into the war or dying in the war or a family member dying or a bomb blowing up in front of your house.Yes its possible to find a book you don't enjoy. You don't have to enjoy a book to read it.It will just take longer to read the book.I think the book would of been more interesting.I never even knew there were any reviews for any books until i came to english 4. A review is basically a start of something new like when people try to recommend a book to many people.I would give this book as a gift because its historical and its not to hard to read at all. I would refer it to anyone. Its a great book.
